Painted Plate; Jars of Dust

This month’s theme is right up my alley: Organic and nature-inspired patterns, designs, and colors! I think this category is most successful when you mix minimalist items in a subdued color palette with a few statement patterns that you love! My roundup for the best few items for a nature late summer inspired reset below!

Jars of Dust; This Virginia based ceramics studio is so perfect in their rustic simplicity. While I do love their seasonal collections (and Spring ’18 is 50% off right now, just saying!), their core collection is timeless and would elevate any everyday place setting.

When I think of organic patterns, Rebecca Atwood immediately comes to mind. Rebecca Atwood’s designs are all over the place these days since starting her Brooklyn based company a few years ago. I am particularly fond of her printed textiles (printed in Rhode Island), like this pattern ‘Blooms.’

Maybe you want to interpret ‘organic’ in a different way? If you’re looking for some really nice quality organic, fair trade bedding – I wholeheartedly recommend West Elm. I have their organic washed cotton sheets and they are really some of the best!

How about creating your own nature-inspired pattern? This tutorial on printing with leaves looks fun and produces beautiful results!

Or maybe you just want some time to relax? This adult coloring book ‘Calming Coloring: Nature Patterns’ might be just what you’re looking for! To be honest, coloring books are really fun and very soothing.

The best way to understand Genue is to try it!
